Welcome to the Pinnacle of Luxury in Tenerife
Numerous fantastic beaches and naturism appears the norm rather than the exception in the Canary Islands. On the extensive beaches of Las Dunas, within the Parque Natural of Corralejo, our gay friends tend to congregate to the right and left of the 22KM road marker. This is a considerable walk from Corralejo, best catch a bus and disembark at the Riu Hotels. Head to the beach from the bus stop and then walk to the right for some distance. Once you reach the part of the beach that again comes close to the road the gay area is behind you and also in the dunes and dugouts a short walk in front. Caution: if ‘Canoodling’ beware of straight naturists who may object to elicit behaviour.
Excellent bus service offers connection throughout the island, with most routes connecting at the bus terminus at Puerto del Rosario. However, car hire can be inexpensive and offers a great opportunity to explore the island. Caution when driving, stick to speed limits, wear a seat belt and observe local regulations, although the ‘locals’ do not. As there is very little crime on the island the police have plenty of opportunity to perform traffic duties and enforce regulations.
During siesta and early evening the area of beach beyond the Elba Sara Hotel in Caleta de Fuste can be ‘cruisy’. Locals/tourists either stroll there from the resort or maybe in their cars, although there is only a dirt track to drive along. Caution: beware of joggers, dog walkers and fishermen who may just be sat in their cars, watching their line! The area is also close to the main road so exercise discretion.
Spain and the Canary Islands in particular enjoy their festivals and carnivals and events and public holidays may occur in individual towns and villages. The local tourist information office and or social media can advise you of specific events. There is a tourist information desk located adjacent to the car hire desks in the arrivals hall of Fuerteventura Airport, along the walkway adjacent to the beach in Corralejo and centrally located behind the municipal garden area of Caleta De Fuste.
