Woodside is a great place to get away, unplug, and enjoy the scenic beauty of the outdoors. There are plenty of hiking trails, nature walks, and parks you can go and explore and be outside. One of the most popular places is the Filoli house and gardens. A 54,000 square foot historic home that is open to the public. Here you will find different types of botanical gardens that change seasonally, so there is always something new to see. Also, there are some top-notch spas in the area if you're really looking to slow down and unwind.
Woodside is known for having some of the best restaurants in the San Francisco Peninsula. There is an array of upscale restaurants that offer multiple-course meals, and also a few small locally run casual restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat or a whole meal. There are also local breweries and wineries you can check out that also have a great tasting menu to explore. The food scene is top-notch and you should try it while visiting.
Woodside doesn't have much of a gay nightlife scene. However, that's ok! Some of the local resorts have a full bar where you can go in and have a few craft cocktails or local beer while visiting.
