So while hundreds of pride parades and pride festivals around the world are being canceled or postponed, we still celebrate. We hold the meaning of pride in our hearts every day and bring our warmth and strength to others. We reflect on our struggles and achievements and put all those wonderful lessons that time has taught us to good use!
Let's face it; adversity is certainly not something new for our community. But knowing we have overcome, it gives us confidence that we are stronger than we realize. Pressure makes diamonds, they say, and when we remember that "Pride" is not just something that happens once a year, we sparkle from within.
So hold onto those feelings of pride. Hold onto the strength of people coming together. The good times will come again, and when that time happens, it will make our Pride days feel even more special.
