Gay North America

North America is a part of the continent named America, after the Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci. It is situated in the northern hemisphere, connecting the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean and also to the north of South America. North America's highest point is Alaska's Mount McKinley, which rises to 20,320 ft above sea level.

North America comprises three large nations and one large island territory that covers the majority of its area. They are Canada, the United States of America (USA) and Mexico. There's also seven smaller nations at its southern extreme (collectively known as Central America), about two dozen island nations and territories of various sizes in the Caribbean, and one isolated French territory off the Canadian Atlantic coast. Although the Central American and the Caribbean regions are technically part of the North American continent, they are commonly listed separately from their larger neighbors to the north and hence the distinctive region names for both cultural and geographical reasons.

There are parts of North America that are very open-minded, but on the contrast, there are several places where being gay is not accepted or tolerated. If you are planning a trip to Canada, you're in luck. Canada has allowed same-sex marriage throughout the entire country, making it the most liberal of the three. The United States is becoming more and more accepting of the LGBT culture one state at a time. The acceptance level varies on the region and state, but overall The United States is a safe place to visit. Mexico has a few cities and states that are accepting, such as Puerto Vallarta, which offer all-inclusive LGBT resorts. Covering a huge land mass, North America offers some of the best opportunity for LGBT travel.
