National Pet Day is a special day for pets that may not necessarily get the love and care they deserve and the orphans who need a home.  That's why at GayTravel.com, we are celebrating National Pet Day by sharing these two heart-warming stories.

When Only A Purple Unicorn Will Do!

For all of you who followed the viral story about the stray dog Sisu, you'll be thrilled to know that Sisu has found a loving home!

If you missed the story, Sisu was a stray who broke into a Dollar Store located north of Raleigh, North Carolina, in pursuit of a purple unicorn.  Sisu would wait for an unknowing person to exit the Dollar Store and bolt through the door before it shut to grab a stuffed, purple unicorn.  Store workers repeatedly retrieved the unicorn and placed it back on the shelf, only to be foiled by Sisu, who marched right back into the store to capture the unicorn.  Eventually, store workers called in reinforcements, and Sisu was brought to the Duplin County Animal Services by responding officer Samantha Lane.  However, before leaving the "scene of the crime," Samantha was compelled to purchase the $10 toy for Sisu so he would have a friend in the shelter.  Sisu and the purple unicorn are now living happily ever after in their new, adopted home!

P.S.  Sisu was aptly given his name after named the water dragon character in Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon
