Ohio’s state capital, Columbus, is the largest city in Ohio with an approximate population of 900,000. It is the county seat of Franklin County and it also extends into Delaware and Fairfield counties.
The city was named after the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus and it originated as numerous Native American settlements on the banks of the Scioto River. Located at the heart of rural Ohio, Columbus is a bustling city with interesting culture and vibrant nightlife.
