That hashtag has actually been trending on social media for a couple of days, which should indicate the level of popularity the iconic singer/actress has with supporters of Hillary Clinton.
Now Cher is stepping out from behind her Twitter account — for the last several months she’s been extremely critical of Donald Trump — and heading out on a mini fundraising tour for the Democratic presidential nominee.
Cher will kick off her tour with a stop in Miami Beach on August 19, at an LGBT fundraiser. Th next day she’ll be heading to Fire Island Pines, New York on August 20 for an already-announced special Low Tea at the Blue Whale. Clinton will not be attending either event.
But on August 21, Cher heads to Provincetown, Massachusetts where she’ll join Clinton at a fundraiser at the Pilgrim Monument. Tickets for that event range from $45 and $500 (already sold out) to $27,000.
