Alice Springs
Alice Springs is a mirage in the heart of Australia’s Red Centre. It’s the stopping off point for one of the world’s great wonders, Ayers Rock/Uluru.
Ayers Rock is also known by its Aboriginal name ‘Uluru’. It is a key part of Aboriginal creation mythology, or dreamtime - reality being a dream. Uluru is considered one Australia’s most recognizable natural icons.
After a day of exploring the natural beauty that surrounds the town head to a local tavern for an adult beverage or two. No visit would be complete without stopping by Chateau Hornsby Winery, the Northern Territory’s first and only winery and vineyard. Stick around for a bite at the winery restaurant or for something truly different try a bush barbecue under the stars using a camp oven kitchen.
Alice Springs is ideal for those who are lovers of the great outdoors, swimming in particular. Popular spots like Standley Chasm, Ormiston Gorge and Ellery Creek Bighole are close by and are great places to relax and refresh!
